Today is YouTube’s 5th Birthday of the greatest invention of the 21st century–YouTube.

Internet advertising suffered its worst year since 2002 when the dot com bubble burst, but it’s still not as bad as what traditional media like radio and newspapers suffered.

It’s more good news for BING.
Neilsen reports that the market share for BING has increased to 12.5% which is an all-time high for the search engine. Meanwhile, Google has shown two consecutive months of falling market share.

More people are using Twitter than ever before.
US adult Twitterers (or is it Tweeterers?) totaled 6 million in 2008. In 2009, the amount of Twitterers tripled to 18 million. Projected Twitterers for 2010 are 26 million; that’s 15.5% of all adults who are online!

increased by 10.6% in 2008, saw its increase drop to just 2.3% in 2009.

Worldwide spending on internet advertising for the third quarter, 2009, showed a drop of 1% versus the same quarter last year, according to IDC.
The USA internet ad spending market showed a decrease of 4% versus last year in the same quarters. US internet ad spending totaled $6.4 billion.
