2009 and the corresponding recession created a tough year for advertising.  Internet advertising, which
increased by 10.6% in 2008, saw its increase drop to just 2.3% in 2009.
Internet advertising companies, however, should not be upset when compared to the advertising declines suffered by all other major mediums from 2008 to 2009.
