Social Networking: Men vs. Women
I get tired of all of the articles that talk about the difference between men and women. We know; we’re different.

Women represent 57% of Facebook users.
One of the places where those differences show up is in social networking sites.
Here’s some stats regarding use of Facebook by the sexes.
- Facebook attracts 46 million more women than men per month and is 57% female.
- Women have 8% more friends on average than male members.
- Women do 62% of the postings.
- Women make up the majority of users on Twitter, MySpace, and Flickr.
- Men are more active on Digg, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Women use social networking to make friends and make connections and share personal information.
- Men use them to gather information and increase status.
- Men use social networking to store contact information that may be needed at a later date.
