Pages Surfed by Americans
The average American who is online visited 88 domains during 51 internet sessions in June 2009, according to Nielsen Online. They also surfed 2,569 pages and spent an average of 57 seconds per page.
Not surprisingly, almost all web surfing starts with Google. Google remains the top company for American surfers with over 155 million visitors coming to at least one of its sites during the month. The average amount of time spent Googling was 2 hours and 31 minutes.
Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL, and News Corp round out the top five.
