Google Market Share Increases
Google continues its dominance in the search engine rankings. In April, 72.74% of all searches were 
done by Google, according to Hitwise.
Last year, Google had a 67.93% market share for search.

- Google — 72.74%
- Yahoo — 16.27%
- MSN — 5.68%
- Ask — 3.95%
- Others — 1.36%
Long tail search continues to grow in popularity. Search keywords of greater than seven words increased by 18% between April 2008 and April 2009. Two word searches were the most popular accounting for 22.95% of all searches.
