Why SEO is SO Important

Ever wonder why search engine optimization is so important?  If you’re not a believer now, check out these stats from Forrester Research (2006):

*  93% of all internet traffic is generated from search engines.

*  97% of searchers never look past the top three positions. (This seems high to me, but it’s their results nevertheless.)

*  76.7% of Google users use the natural organic listings rather than the paid pay-per-click listings.
